In an Exchange, the international student is enrolled in the USM and attend the same classes as full-time students (“Sansanos”), for one or two semesters.

With very few exceptions, all of the university´s undergraduate courses and programs are open to foreign students. In this context, students can take regular courses according to their academic interests, level of Spanish and academic experience.

The minimum number of credits to complete during an academic semester for those who participate in an exchange program taking regular courses must be at least 15 SCT and a recommended maximum of 30 SCT.
