Moving away from home is difficult but moving to another country to study is a whole new experience. Arriving in Chile without knowing anyone will certainly not make everything easier. On our DAI Tutoring Program, USM national students accompany and guide exhange students during their first days in Chile, and who knows, maybe they will also be your first Chilean friend.
Tutors represent the USM and collaborate to integrate foreigners into the city and into student life. Help from a tutor focuses on the following areas:
Among others
Your assigned tutor should contact you via email during the weeks prior to the start of the Orientation Day. They will accompany you and guide you in the activities of that week and will be able to answer your questions as soon as they contact you.
The tutors for foreign students have a first contact commitment, which must be made at least 10 weeks before the Orientation Day.
If you have not yet had contact with your tutor and this date has passed, please write to Paz Aranibar Sánchez, Incoming Mobility Coordinator.
